50/50

This film takes a serious real life occurrence that many people face in their life time and puts a spin on it and keeps viewers entertained till the very end. This film plays on the idea that after someone is diagnosed with cancer their life is basically over. However this film shows that you should always be optimistic and good things will happen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays as the main actor who is diagnosed with the fatal disease and his chances of survival are 50/50. This film plays with the emotions of a person who may be dying and the struggles he is forced to go through like separation from his girlfriend and how differently he will be treated. Luckily for us his best friend is played by the witty Seth Rogan. Seth Rogan really makes the film what it is, without him this film would just be a sad story of a man going through cancer. Seth Rogan adds the humour and entertainment to the film making it very easy to keep up. This film really shows you who you can really count during desperate times and who is just there for the ride and is ready to bail when times are tough. I found this film very hilarious despite the fact the story revolves around a man being sick with cancer. For the writers to keep us laughing till the very end when dealing with such a sensitive subject really proves something. This film is very inspirational and optimistic and deserves an 8.5/10.
Tune in next week guys when I will be talking about the new rock em sock em robot movie, Real Steel.
