Real Steel

Who wouldn’t want to see a movie about fighting robots? This film takes place in the distant future where Boxing has become obsolete and people have found a new way to fill that void. Robot Boxing! That’s right; people have designed huge robots to do the fighting for us. This film really brought out the kid in me; I mean robots AND boxing, what more can you want? Controlled by humans these robots really put on a show. Hugh Jackman really out does himself for this film. He actually had to take some boxing lessons from the legend, Sugar Ray Leonard. This film is about a washed up former boxer that gets another chance to make it big. Of course to top this film off there had to be a feel good story involving a kid, not just any kid but his son whom he has never spent anytime with until he is forced to. You can probably guess where this is leading. The graphics and animation in this film is superb the only flaw I seen with this film is how there is not much of an explanation as to why he does not spend time with his own son. Maybe they can go more in depth as to why things were the way they were. All and all a good movie, this film easily gets a 7.5/10.
Don’t forget to come by next week when I will be talking about the third chilling instalment, Paranormal Activity 3!
